The answer is YES charge a service fee.
This piece rate sounds good, but sometimes a tech may come across where gas line for furnace or whatever might be on the way . A 4 hour task may end up taking more time than that.

Not what company makes, its what its able to retain/keep , post-after overhead. Some states hold very little if sny worthness to initiate, let alone with owners, employees working full time, head above water, straw for oxygen, body below water example. Not once was essential wording mentioned prior to covid arrival, post covid #2 essential list, considered very important, post after covid, directly back within never hear, and-or view essential.
You guys only work 40 hours a week ?

What if your company is offering a $29 drain cleaning through it accessible clean out, but there is no clean out through the drain
What would a pro do… or offer the client/customer?..maybe the installation of a clean out…of course for more than $29. And who’s charging $29 for a drain opening?! Talk about losing money or ripping the customer off with a bait and switch!
What if your company is offering 29 dollar drain clearing if they are through an accessible clean out. But there is no clean out for the drain.

I'm very curious to know I work for a company. And they do time and material when you're doing something like a power wash. Kitchen stacks in apartment buildings. If you do a set fee, what do you do if something happens like? A pipe breaks in the wall. Is that something that you would talk about before the job starts? Would that not scare the people away?

I always call it "taco hell" theres really only 2 reasons why people go there. Its either cause they're drunk or are constipated & need to be cleaned out lol. But seriously i love me some taco hell. Didnt you mean she didnt say "you're welcome" & not "thank you"? Or were you saying she didnt say "thank you for choosing taco bell"?
I'm sitting here with my stomach blown up thinking I need some Taco Bell to get things moving 😬
I guess im lucky cause taco bell never upsets my stomach and i loveeee it hahaha but everyone i know calls it taco hell hahaha
